Helper Springs are 4" or 8" tall springs with a very low spring rate. (They can be fully compressed with just your index finger and thumb.) Their primary purpose is to keep tension on the main spring at full droop. This prevents the main spring from coming loose & settling improperly upon significant weight transfer to the opposite side of the vehicle (lifting the corner in question off the ground,) when jumping the vehicle, during aggressive or track oriented driving, or off road applications. Another benefit worth noting is their ability to keep everything 'in place' when lowering the vehicle with a hydraulic jack. Without them, you will need to make sure the main springs settle correctly into place, as well as the top hats, etc.

This kit fits the 1995-1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse & 1995-1998 Eagle Talon . The kit will not only allow you to lower your car up to 3” without the worry of constantly bottoming out. It will also significantly increase the handling characteristics. There is simply no other kit available that is as complete and performs as well for the money.
